The subject of bison is exhaustively covered in every possible detail. Rather repetitious and lots lists.
I really enjoyed reading this historical book about the American bison. It's written as a study of the animal in that narrative, not as a book that you would read like a novel. If you understand that then it's a very interesting read.
We messed up north America ..well our early settlers did. I would have loved to seen the Americas at this time. I hope we some day will get some of it back. Railroads and Market hunters did terrible destruction not only to Bison but to all our wild life. Some times folks still say well there are so many that you can not wipe them out.....This book is a reminder that in just about 3 years the railroads and market hunters did just that.
